RP2350 UF2 Installer

Flash the current Click firmware through the RP2350 BOOTSEL drive. This is separate from the ESP32 serial installer above.

  1. Disconnect USB, hold ACTION/BOOTSEL, then reconnect to expose the boot drive.
  2. Select that drive when prompted. The installer checks its RP2350 identity before writing.
  3. The board reboots after the UF2 is copied.

Data note: UF2 installs can replace locally stored settings. Back up important device data first.

Direct flashing requires desktop Chrome or Edge on HTTPS or localhost.

Direct USB update with Picotool

After firmware with Picotool USB support is installed once, picotool -f resets into ROM PICOBOOT, flashes, and reboots without mounting the UF2 drive. Close serial monitors first. The browser cannot launch desktop programs.

Alternative Installation & Manual Options

For browsers without Web Serial (Firefox, Safari, iOS), use one of the supported methods below:

Notice: Flashing via external utilities (e.g., esphome.io) or running esptool.py erase_flash will erase the 0x9000 NVS partition and clear device memory. Use this installer or flash_device.bat to maintain local stats.

Option 1: Switch Browser (Safe)

Option 2: web.esphome.io (Wipes Data)

Notice: Erases all user stats. Flash factory_firmware.bin (Offset 0x0):

Flash the merged factory image directly to offset 0x0:

Manual Binary Files & Data Safety Notice

• factory_firmware.bin (Offset 0x0): All-in-one image with bootloader and partitions for web.esphome.io or factory resets.
• firmware.bin (Offset 0x10000): App-only update that preserves all lifetime click counters and milestone stats in NVS (0x9000).
• Desktop CLI: Use .\flash_device.bat to interactively choose whether to keep stats or erase.
